Chaparrito has the handsome, “boxy” look that one desires in alpaca conformation and he inherited brilliant, bright, crimpy fleece. This is the result we envisioned when we crossed the great macho, Chaparral, of Maplewood Farm, who is pre-potent for passing on his awesome conformation, with BPeruvian Brightly, our dense-fleeced daughter of the famous Catero and granddaughter of the infamous Augusto. Judge Julio Sumar placed Chaparrito 4th at the 2005 Kentucky Classic, in a white class of 15 with a glowing critique of Chaparrito’s blanket fleece and a special note of his beautiful conformation. "Chappy" is now a proven herdsire. His first cria was born this past summer.
