VITUS
Vitus is the handsome, "PROVEN", true black son of Alpacas de la Patagonia’s bay black signature herdsire, Nishio, who was the 2001 AOBA national black champion and the herdsire of the year in 2004. Vitus has been a bit of a late bloomer, placing in the middle of the pack in several shows; but not with the ladies, as he settled his first female in the fall of 2004 on his 2nd birthday. Our Adalia(white), gave birth to a cute little black female, Kazlen, in September of 2005. His 2-year-old fleece statistics of AFD 21.3, SD 4.6, and CV 21.4% engender optimism. Also, the light silver-gray in Vitus’ pedigree from his mother, Chistochina, creates exciting potential as we anticipate some high-quality, colorful cria. We are confident that the beautiful conformation and fleece characteristics of this young macho can add quality to our breeding program as well as to any other that takes advantage of the genetics of Vitus.
